My FH & I start our 6-week Pre-Cana classes tonight from 7:30-9:30pm. We have no idea what to expect. It is at the church but I heard you go to someone's house throughout the process???

The church is where you will take the focus test and talk about natural family planning. the other three days is when you meet with the lead couple at there house! Good luck!

Each parish runs the program a little bit differently. Sometimes the couple running the program will host the meetings at their house, sometimes it is held at the church, it depends. There are different topics discussed at each meeting. Usually it is the couple doing most of the talking and then a question answer session. Some of the topics will include finance, children, family planning, running a household and the Church's views/beliefs on the vocation/sacrament of marriage (your priest will probably run this discussion).
Your parish might require you and FI to fill out a FOCCUS questionnaire, not every diocese requires it. It includes questions on topics that should be discussed prior to getting married. Good Luck and have fun!!
