Pre Canna Question

Pre Canna Question

I have 2 questions:

1. Is there such a thing as interdenominational pre canna?

2. Can you do pre canna at one church and then get married in another?

Please excuse the ignorance but I am not catholic but FH is.

#1, not sure, although if one person is Catholic and the other isn't, they would (I think) just go to regular precana as long as they intend to marry in a Catholic Church.

#2 Yes you can attend pre-cana at a church that is not your own.

Have fun!

Yes, you would go to the interfaith pre-cana, thats what FH and I did, he is Catholic and I am 'officially' Luthern.

Where you do your pre-cana is not where you have to get married. FH's church doesn't offer pre-cana anymore so we did ours through the diocese.

Re: Pre Canna Question

We didn't have interfaith pre cana and my fiance is methodist. We did pre cana with everyone else.

If you get married in the catholic church you are agreeing to raise your children catholic and you have to get the person not catholic approved as well.
