pre-eclampsia update

everything looks good. i mean relatively. the good news is my blood is great - they are checking my urine 'jug' but dont' expect to find anything.

the bad news is that i have 'severe swelling' and basically nothing can be done. the dr. said that i can expect to go up at least another shoe size (i am already at 8.5 from 5.5!), and to continue to gain weight at a heavy clip. the good part he said is i'll drop a ton when the baby comes since a lot of it is water now that i am retaining.

he also said to expect to be unbelievably uncomfy in january from the swelling....oh well...if that's the worst, I think I can consider myself lucky!

Glad to hear that you are doing well and are taking it all in stride. Your little one will be here before you know it!

what good news--- I swelled alto -- and I tried to rest with my feet up -- and also watch my salt intake -- and drink alot of water -- . After I had the baby -- my weight came oof in a month -- literally-- I gained like 40pounds -30 of which was water I think ! It comes off very easily -- so dont worry!

I am SOOOO glad that you are okay. I know you are going to swell up but just imagine how stunning your after-baby body will be Plus, you get to buy lots of shoes in all different sizes.
