pre-natal yoga

Is anybody doing this?

I did yoga for years...and stopped right after my wedding in November. Haven't done it since. My Dr. said I could do pre-natal yoga - just ease into it since my body is kind of not used to any excersise.

Is anybody taking this up? Or have any feedback on the effects? I hear it's also a very good way to meet other moms...

I say anything that helps you feel good is a great idea! Pregnant women need to be kind to themselves - you're experiencing so many changes right now - and if yoga helps you relax and stretch your body, than go for it. Most classes have 3 levels, depending upon what trimester you are in.

Of course, this is coming from someone who's hubby bought her a prenatal yoga tape AND 14 mos after the baby is born, it is STILL in the shrink wrap! (I was never into yoga, prior to getting pregnant, tho).

Pre-natal yoga was on my 'to do' list this summer, but of course I haven't gotten to it yet.

LOL Claud! That is why I am forcing myself into a class! I feel like if I make a friend or two, I will go regularly. If left to a videotape I'll just choose HBO intead!

I just called and am starting this week. It's $17 a class (of course less if you buy a package, but who knows how many times I'll want to do this! - It might interfere with my chocolate milk breakfast!!!

I'll let you know how it goes
