If I had anything worth protecting I would absolutely have a pre nup. People change. I know from my own past experience that promising forever with someone doesn't always workout that way.

I feel uncomfortable with the idea of a prenup, and my FH does especially because there has never been a divorce within his any any of his friends families. There has been rampant divorce on both sides of my family and i am the product of divorce so i know the pain a child goes through especially financially. but with that knowledge i still couldnt do it, especially because i will probably always make more $ and if he was a stay at home dad to let me work, i would agree he be entitled of some support for the years he stayed home and couldnt work himself.

nope! The only thing we have is debt anyway but seriously even if one or both of us had a significant amount of funds I still wouldn't sign one.
Sometimes you gotta just gotta take a leap of faith.

We might be getting one.
Usally people who have a trustfund or own a business or have a substantial amout of money would get one. It's not about trust. it's just to protect yourself. You never know what could happen. I trust FH and he trusts me. It's just to protect what we have. And it wouldn't be fare if I go into the marriage with say a house and we end up getting divorced....he gets 1/2 of that. thats not right. And when you go through a divorce things get really ugly. And a prenup comes in handy at times like that.

def not. esp being young and a first marriage. we are creating everything together. What is mine is his and visa versa. I can't see entering into a marriage not thinking or feeling that.
