Pre-wedding facial?

Pre-wedding facial?

For my shower, my aunt gave me a gift certificate to a beautiful spa. It includes a mani/pedi, massage, and facial. I want to go the weekend of my wedding so that my nails will be done for the wedding. I've never had a facial though, and I'm worried that I might break out or something. Has anyone had bad results from a facial and if so how long did it last? I don't know if I should risk it!

why don't u go get one beforehand to see how you react to it. Everyone's skin is different...

I would get the facial at least a week to 10 days before your wedding, because you might break out or have a reaction...you just never know and don't want to take a chance I agree with getting your nails done the day before! That way you don'thave to worry about chipping as much!!

My makeup artist told me don't do anything to my face (except wax) less than a month before wedding. So if going for a facial go at least a month before your wedding. But if you've never had one, you might not want to mess around with your skin, just in case?

my mom is an estatition and owns a spa, she says never get a facial within a two to three week span of anything important, specially if you have never had one before.

Can you spend the gift certificate at two different times? If so I would go for the facial a month before hand and get the massage and mani/pedi that weekend.

I'm very picky on where I get facials. I only go to Mario Badescu in NYC. I got a facial a week before the wedding, with a Vitamin C masque as well. It was great! Only $108 for both treatments! (Plus $20 tip). A steal IMO for a very good skin care spa.

I would get the facial way before your wedding you never know or you can use it after and just get yoru nails done some other place for your wedding

can you use the gift certificate after you get back from your HM? I agree with the other girls, def do not get a facial the weekend of your wedding.

i'm not sure what kind of facial you'd be getting. but I get a facial regularly (once a week) to replenish moisture and extract my blackheads. My face is usually red and splotchy for the rest of the day and sometimes the next day depending on how late I go. It's not a reaction but just the way that the extraction works I have little holes from the enlarged pores now empty.

I'd go at least a week before to let your skin rest and get back to normal if you react to anything they use. Also, if you have acne prone skin after the facial oil from deep in your pores will rise to the surface and come up as whiteheads so you'll need time for that to clear out too.

wow that was a mouthful. HTH.

edit for spelling cuz i can't spell.

Please dont do ANY facial 30 days before the wedding.

I have heard stories about how people react and gettign breakouts.
