Pre-Wedding Pampering...
So, my mom was at the salon yesterday talking to the girls about what I should do prior to my wedding... and basically they told her everything on the left side of the service pamphlet :PI was going to do the following:
Nails
Full leg wax (ouch!)
Underarm wax
Facial
And then my mom said they suggested some sort of back exfoliation since i'll be wearing a strapless dress...
Do you all have any suggestions on anything else I should do, or is that more than enough?
TIA!

Re: Pre-Wedding Pampering...
Have you had exfoliation done before? If not than I wouldn't do it right before your wedding. You don't know how your skin will react and you don't want to take that chance.

They told me I should do that back thing also. Then I asked a cousin who is a aesthetician and she told me I can do it myself with a much milder exfoliator than they use at the salons.I used Freeman's apricot scrub (it's for your face). She told me to rub that all over my chest and back and leave it for a minute or so. Then rinse it all off dry the skin and immediately apply a good moisturizer. After that dab a little baby powder and you're ready to go. I have very sensitive skin and this didn't upset it all.

Good, I will try the scrub at home, I use the St. Ives Apricot Scrub, I hope that works as well..

Re: Pre-Wedding Pampering...
A little tip when waxing your legs, don't exfoliate your legs before going. I waxed them for the first time last year and exfoliate right before I went. I heard some beauty guy on a talk show say to do this. Well all it left me with is a mild rash that went away and little scars on my knees. Of course about a month later I was reading a magazine that said if your going to wax your legs don't exfoliate right before, IT MAY CAUSE SCARS!So much for that beauty guy on TV.

Re: Pre-Wedding Pampering...
Get a facial now from the person you will be using (no more than) 5 days before the wedding - i think all facialists should be taken on a test drive - I have horror stories!

Re: Pre-Wedding Pampering...
My bosses got me a gift certificate to Bliss Spa in the City and one of the things items that they picked was a facial - )The triple oxygen treatment™ -- it was GREAT!! I did it before the wedding (I never had one before - my face was fine, it wasn't dry or red)*ETA:
They now have wedding spa services/packages, here's a link Bliss Spa
