The discussions aren't really about planning to have kids. It's more about learning to fair fight/argue, planning who will take care of the money situations, etc. Things that help (hopefully) to make a marriage work.

In our Pre-Cana... very, very little was religious/personal views based. But that also could have been because our 'teachers' were awesome.

I think Pre-Cana is all about what you put into it. If you go in rolling your eyes & expecting a horror show, you'll hate it. Remember, you're doing something to better your marriage and you should be excited about that.

Honestly, girls who are just starting PC, enjoy it. Go in with a positive attitude and enjoy the time with your fiance' & learning some possibly new things about each other.

Haha yeah they always leave that part out. A family friend works at the rectory so FH asked how much. My FSIL said that when she did it they asked at the last meeting for the $ and everyone was like 'HUH???'

Precana

We start Precana on Sunday the 23rd and are pretty excited for it. It is 6-8 weeks and $75. I'm really just nervous about when it is going to be, I know the opening and closing is at the Church but the weeks in the middle will be at the host couples or teachers houses and they don't tell you what day that will be till the 1st day!

That's great advice to follow in life. It's much easier to be positive!

Re: Precana

my FH and I went to pre cana last month. we actually really enjoyed it. The first night was more of blessings for the couple and singing and readings. (almost like going to church.)

the second day was a full day of worksheets and discussion on things that may come up in our marriage. topics that should be discussed definitely before marriage. like children, dealing with different backgrounds (in ours it was even about different faiths because we attended the interfaith one since FH is not Catholic. But over all very enlightening!
