Precana Last Night

We had the first of two precana sessions last night and all in all I have to say that it was pretty good. There were a few exercises we did that I liked - FH did an excellent job guiding me with my eyes closed around the rooms. We also took the FOCUS test. We get our results back next session but FH and talked about it for quite a while afterwards. What I found interesting was the last question under the cohabitating q's (only for those living together). The question asked Do I understand why the church does not approve of couples living together before marriage. I answered disagree because quite frankly I do not understand how they can tell us over and over throughout the night the 50% of marriages end in divorce with a large number being those in their first year and then look poorly at our choice. Just my opinion - obviously it's my religion and I repect it whole heartedly but this concerned me...probably because it's personal. I was relieved to see we weren't the only couple in the room living together.

We took the FOCUS before Pre Cana, it was its own night. got to leave after we finished. had FOUR separate Pre cana visits. two at the church, two in someones home

no one has mentioned the FOCUS since we took it..... what a waste of time

we had SIX pre-cana meetings...It was long and more of a gab fest then anything else, but it was good.It made us realize how much on the same page with things we really are!

Doesnt sound that bad.....how many times do you have to go back? We have ours next Saturday from 9-5!!!

I agree with Donna ours was a gab fest too...one of the couples are so obnoxious Fh wants to kick them down the stairs(me 2 )
They are so uppity I cant even explain and they are so lovey dovey and have been together less than a year...I just want to say get a room
Anyway i think it is a waste of time personally
I dont feel Precana can help me we have 2 kids and a house already so what can precana teach me really
but that is just my opinion!

Hi ladies
Well Tony and I had our firs Pre cana last week and it was just us with the priest, we need 3 more sessions and we are set.
The priest dis pay alot of atteniton about the way Tony and I talked about one another and he stated that in the next session , he was giving us some kind of test so we will see..
Not so bad I actually enjoyed
