Did you eventually take your belly button ring out? Did the hole close up? Or is there a more comfortable style of ring I can wear throughout the entire PG? Right now I have the curved bar bell style and it's starting to look dumb because since my belly button is starting to flatten out, the ring is starting to protrude noticeably through my clothes. But I really rather not take it out at all. Suggestions?

I dont have one, but you should take it out sooner than later. As your belly grows, the holes stretch! My cousin took hers out later in her pregnancy and she has large marks from the ring.

So if I take it out the hole won't stretch? Cause it seems like it's starting to stretch now that you mention it!

Oh no!!! I am not sure. I thought it was because the ring was still in that it was causing it to stretch.. And the sooner you take it out, the more time it has to heal.

Re: Preggies w/belly button rings...
I took mine out when I was 8 weeks along because I knew that I just had to. I have kind of a flat belly button to begin with and it started looking weird and the ball kept popping off. I first started putting fishing wire in to keep the hole open but that was really uncomfortable so I just took it out completely. I think is pretty much closing now its been out for 12 wks so far. Im prob just going to get it re done after the baby is here if my stomach looks worthy

My friend had her's in for a while, now she gave birth and has a flat tummy, but the ring left hanging skin that is not going away

You should definately take it out. If you still want it after your pregnancy, you'll probably have to get it repierced though. I used to have a belly button ring and the hole closed in only a couple of days

As I got bigger I decided to take the ring out. As soon as I had the baby I put it back in with no problem.

I kept mine in through my entire pregnancy and delivery and never had a problem. It did look a little funny when I was at my largest but it's back to normal now.

I removed mine. I new someone who kept hers in the whole pregnancy and when her belly button popped it looked absolutely horrific...plus you can't where any cute tops cause you'll see all these weird bumps jutting out. They say that it is very easy to have put back in...you won't have to get it pierced again...they will just break open the same whole again.

I took mine out once I started to show. I thought I looked stupid at that point. It wasn't a big deal. The hole was fine afterwards.
