Girls I need some help. My fiance and I had sex during my 'fertile' days this month without protection. Now 10 days later...(and 6 days before my period is due) I started spotting a bit. I've never been this early for my period. So im not sure if thats it or I have read that usually 6-12 days after conception you can spot due to implantation. What do you guys think??

Wait the six days. If it is killing you-go out and buy a home pregnancy test. Good luck!

Get a test - GET an EPT - spend the extra money - trust me!!!

I have spotted before....but I am also on the pill...so it is prob. different...but it def. does happen to many people, but get the test to put your mind at ease!

spotting could be anything. pill, infection, stress, etc.
Take a home test. Mention it to your ob gyn.

I've never heard of this whole spotting from implantation thing until recently on these boards....you really should NOT spot at all when pregnant and if you do, it's something you should IMMEDIATELY let your dr. know about...that said, I believe you are more than likely just early and having a light period. I'd go buy a test to be sure...besides, the thing to remember is that your 'Aunt Flo' is really the lining of your uterus NOT the 'unused/unfertilized' ovary that many people believe it is. It breaks down and becomes your 'period' if there is no fertilization. In essence, you are shedding off a layer that is there for 'protection' for the possible baby...but if no pregnancy occurs, it goes away as well.

Spotting while pg is not always a huge problem, sometimes it is a progesterone issue and can be easily remedied by a doctor in terms of taking some meds etc. Many of my friends had implantation bleeding/spotting and their babies were fine. I'm not saying don't call a doctor if you are spotting but don't get too alarmed because it could be a minor problem.
Taking the test this early before the period is due may produce a FALSE negative because the HCG levels may not be high enough to be detected in your body. Even if you take the test now it won't put your mind at ease since you should still retest after the period was due if you still don't have your period.
