Pregnant and untenured ??

I've got tenure in my current school, but might consider leaving next year. DH and I just got married in May and weren't planning on TTC for another year or two. But stuff happens.

If I leave my curent school, I'm untenured for at least two years. What happens if I get pregnant? I know they can't legally fire me for it, but can it happen anyway?

If I'm untenured and have a baby, how much time can I take of for maternity leave?

my friend left on maternity while she was untenured. she was out from Sept. to January. She had her baby in July, and therefore the maternity pay started when the baby was born.

her tenure track started where it left off, so it just added some time on there.
