The bridal shop should know how to handle it, if they are decent. I would imagine they should check the measurements of her hips, and breasts on the size chart, and go by that more than the belly...her breasts will swell up after the baby though, so maybe ordering one size up wouldn't be the worst idea, and then they can just take it in....
eta-I don't really know what I'm talking about, it's just a guess...good luck!

I had the same situation....they went by her dress size before she became preggo, ordered one size up and then altered it. It was purrrrrfect!!!

I have the same situation. The lady at the shop told me I could definitely wait on ordering my dresses until January for my July wedding (3 months after she has baby). Could you wait?

The baby is due in November, so maybe we could wait....I dont know, I have to ask her what she wants to do...
I'd speak with the people where you're getting your gowns from - They deal with this type of issue all the time. My MOH was pregnant when we ordered the gowns for my wedding and it wasn't a problem, although her gown did need a lot of alterations since she had lost so much weight.
I'm pretty sure you will be able to wait for her to have the baby. As long as you order your BM gowns 6 months before the wedding there shouldn't be a problem.
