My best friend since 7th grade is one of my BM. As fate would have it, she is due the week of the wedding. I am soooo happy for her, but sad knowing she might not be there. She asked me if I still wanted her in the wedding and I said without a doubt YES. I told her if she wanted to back out I would totally understand and she said she still wants to be a BM. Has this ever happened to anyone else that your BM was due the week of your wedding? Did they end up making the wedding or did baby come early? But again to be clear....couldnt be happier...just can;'t imagine her not being there.

Re: Pregnant BM
hmm this is a new one. It almost seems silly for her to go through all the motions and pay all the money when she is going to be VERY preggo at that time. Maybe she can be a reader so that she is still apart of everything, like the rehearsal dinner and the day of, without having to spend the money on a dress, shoes etc that she might not even be able to wear. Just a thought.

Re: Pregnant BM
It happen to my sister- she was the pregnat BM she never backed out( my mother thought she should have) it was her SIL wedding, she ended up going to labor the day before the wedding and did miss it! The bride was fine - she had a nephew. If she is staying in do not stress it if she can not make it, and one of the girls can walk with 2 guys just have a back up plan. congrats to your friend!

i'm with you in the same boat! except my sister is due 2 weeks after.. she still wants to be in the BP. i say if she still wants to be in the BP let her, but if she happens to not be able to participate if she goes into labor then you can always pair up two GM with one BM like a previous poster said.

Re: Pregnant BM
My sister, who was originally my MOH is due 2 weeks before our wedding. I am super, crazy happy for her and her husband. I am also very hopeful that she will be able to attend the wedding. She requested to step down as MOH, so she's a BM now. Once it gets closer we will figure out her dress, etc (I am doing J Crew dresses, which are easier to order).
Good luck to you guys!

Re: Pregnant BM
One of my BM's was due 2 weeks after our wedding. I said I still wanted her to be in my bridal party, but after talking it over with her we decided it was best if she was not a BM since there was a chance she would not be there if she had the baby early. So I made her an honorary bridesmaid. She went to myshower and the bach party and still played an active role in the wedding planning and was a huge help. She did come to the wedding and I had her name listed in the program as an honorary bridesmaid and had the florist make her a small bouquet matching the rest of the BM's bouquets. I also had another BM that was 5 months pregnant at the time of my wedding.

Re: Pregnant BM
my cousin is preggers and is due 6 days after the wedding. i felt the same as you...very happy for her but sad that she might not be there.
i told her i really want her to be there but if she can't I totally understand. She insists she will be there unless she is admitted into the hospital. She ordered her dress to be 9 mths preggo and is adimant that she will be there. we will see what happens.
