Ok, so I found out that one of my BM is pregnant with her 2nd child. We still havent ordered the BM dresses. The wedding is in March ( She will be 6 months by then).... here's my question:
1) Should I pick a maternity dress 2) have her order the same dress and hope she fit into it.
Even though I am happy for her, I am a bit annoyed simply b.c it took FOREVER to pick a Bm dress, and now I have to pick another one or worry about her fitting into hers. I feel so guilty for acting like such a bridezilla!!!

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid
go the bridal shop and have her talk to the woman. Sometimes they use the same dress and add panels to it or in most cases I think maternity dress.

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid
Two of my bridesmaids may be pregnant for my wedding. I spoke with one of them and they mentioned getting the panels sewn in and lots of extra material. I'm not really worried about that. The only thing that concerns me, is that I want to order all the dresses by a certain date and I am worried that they may not want to order if they aren't pregnant but, might be. They might be worried about what size to order and alterations. I guess I just have to see what happens.

2 of my bridesmaids were pregnant. I just had them order there dresses bigger and then they took the extra material and put in the belly. It depends on the dress but, it looked fine.

This is the Bm dress I picked. The color will be TAupe. Do you think she could pull it off being 6 months?
Edit: Now that I saw your dress she should be fine. Just have her order a big size with extra length. It may not sit on her the same it will the other girls but it will still be beautiful.

Bill Levkoff has a lot of very similar dresses.... is there one that looks like this that has an empire waist?

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid
What if I chose this dress for her, would it still go well with the other dress?
who is your designer? I had the same issue where my MOH found out she was pregnant 1 week before we needed to order the dresses. My dresses are Jim Hjelm and it turned out he has a maternity line. We found a similar dress in the same color in that line and ordered it for her.

I think that some places have a 'baby bump' for just this reason. I saw a woman in David's Bridal with it on. You could always just order her a different size dress or have her in a different dress altogether.

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid
aww congrats! this is a happy thing dont be annoyed!
They can probably do it with panels but the dress won't sit where it does on a non preggo bm (obv.) THe other dress compliments very well though so you def have options! Ask the saleswoman at the salon what they think is best. At our store we show the dresses to the seamstresses to see what they think! Good luck!

That's a great thing.. be happy. The dresses will work out. I'm SO into my wedding and think weddings are a big deal, but in the greater scheme of things, a baby is MUCH more important than a wedding. Don't get annoyed.. I wouldn't want any of my girls to even think about my wedding when planning out their children/rest of their lives. It'll work out.. pregnant tummies are cute in dresses lol

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid
it could be worse - my moh is wearing this dress and will be almost 6 months pregnant at our wedding
she ordered extra fabric and they are going to do make room for the belly - we couldnt order a new dress b/c they were discontinued and she didnt want to be in a different dress....im keeping my fingers crossed that she looks ok and is comfy - its a mermaid style dress!
i happen to be pregnant bridesmaid and the dress my sister picked out for her party is empire waisted sooo it still works and im in the same dress as everyone else. talk to the place where youre ordering from and see what they suggest. whatever you do make sure she orders BIGGER than what she fits into at the time and make sure her fittings are VERY CLOSE to the actual date of the wedding. hope that helps!! (please vote at party105.com and vote for me, couple 90)!!!! thanks and good luck!!!

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid
My BM is 7 months pregnant right now.... I picked the color at David's Bridal last November when I ordered my dress, and let my sisters (MOH) and my BM pick their own style of dresses. I wanted them to be comfortable since they'll be wearing the dresses all day.
My sisters ordered their dresses back in February (1 sis was pregnant, so she ordered a bigger size so they could alter it if she didn't lose all her baby weight after giving birth in August), and my BM held off and only ordered her dress a month ago. She chose an empire-waisted dress that compliments her figure and shows off her baby bump.... well, now it's more than a bump! She had the alterations done as close to the wedding date as possible.
If you can find a maternity dress in the same color as your BM dresses, I'd say have her order that. If they can put a panel into the dress you already chose, then find out what your BM would be more comfortable in wearing that day.
Also, be aware that if you chose a particular style of shoe for your BM, your pregnant BM may not be able to wear them if her feet and ankles swell, or if she feels unsteady in heels while pregnant. My sis had to wear her husband's sneakers for most of her pregnancy b/c her own shoes were way too small.

I couldn't have said it better myself! Both my sis and my BM sounded concerned about the dresses during pregnancy, but to me, just having them there to share this day with me is most important.
