Pregnant bridesmaid??

So, a month before my wedding one of my bridesmaids tells me she's almost 2 months preggo. And will be 3 months come the wedding day. She said she doesnt want anyone to know yet but just informed me in case i wanted to 'replace' her. She says she shows early and that she's concerned the dress wont fit her even after she lets it out ... what am i supposed to do??? 34 days away!

well could you even 'replace' her at this time anyway? If not, I'd tell her to wait and try the dress on... maybe it will fit. If not, she already bought the dress right? I'd say there's not much you can do

If needed , a week and a half before the wedding, have her bring the dress to a good seamstress and see if she can let the dress out a little here and a little there. Hopefully, that is all that will be needed.

Don't stress yourself out over this. She is the one that has to wear the dress and yes you want everyone to look beautiful that day. All eyes will be on YOU! I really really think this will work out!

What do the bridesmaids dresses look like? Maybe you can buy a shall for the dress and they can use that material to let it out.

Honestly, I would leave it up to her. If she feels comfortable in the dress, i mean if its not too tight even after they let it out, I would not replace her.

I wouldn't think you would need to replace her. She shouldn't be showing that much, if at all by 3 months, unless she is having twins!

this. i don't think you should replace her just because she's preggo. and if the dress doesn't fit, maybe she can talk to the seamstress about making the back a tie up or even adding more fabric. I'm sure experienced seamstresses at bridal salons have dealt with this before. But IMHO, i would not replace her.

Ditto. If the dress fits I would def. keep her in the BP.

This - I mean you can't replace her, and with 34 days left - three months preggers isn't usually a huge month (with the belly and all). She should be able to fit with a few alterations. If you are willing and the dress can suit this, they could always make the dress and empire waist which would give her more room.

Thanks ladies, I wasn't planning to replace her because all and all she has been my most helpful BM; even more than my MOH. I'm a little concerned of her situation, but more for her being sick or something. Just praying that it will all work out!

Keep her. Plus, she will only be four months and it's not a big deal if she is showing. They can always add fabric to her dress. However, ask her if she rather not be a pregnant bridesmaid.

Even if she is showing, it will probably be the tiniest bit. And dresses can usually be let out 2 inches which is A LOT. I find it odd that she would have even said that to you. Was it an 'oops'? I had 2 BMs order their dresses in larger sizes cause they thought they may be preggo come the wedding.

Even if she says 'shes showing early', how much can she possibly show at 3 months?

My FSIL just had a baby 3 weeks ago, and I remember when she announced the pregnancy, she looked tiny. The 'bump' was barely noticeable, so I'd be willing to say that she should def stay in the BP and just try to have her dress let out by a good seamstress.

Keep her and have her go in a week before the reding to deal with the dress.

How much could she possibly be showing?

My friend is pregnant with twins right now and I saw her at 4.5 months and she just had a little bump!
