with less than 3 weeks before the wedding, I realize the difference between premium(what we currently have) and top shelf (what we are now going to be paying extra for) and I was soooooo pissed that I didn't notice this when we booked!
Anyone else have this problem??
I feel stupid cuz I just thought open bar was open bar-meaning everything! now I have to cut something else to add this because we are already over budget

Where is your wedding? I found that to be the case when hall shopping with Lessing RHs. I asked a lot about the bar when looking for RHs. If top self is just importaint to you some halls are willing to make sure you (and some the BP) have what you want at no additional cost. I would ask ur BM if that is something you would be ok with.
Crest Hollow
When I looked there I was told goose was a part of their package (I specifically asked) I would tell them they were misleading and try to get it thrown in or discount the price.
I would also ask what exactly the differnces are and then if there are just one or two things u want to add maybe then can add just those for a cheaper price.

Re: premium vs top shelf
Thanks ladies. I have been fighting it for two days now but unfortunately I'm not getting anything thrown in. The best offer I got was if I don't go full out top shelf-I would still have to pay a smaller amount for the specific 'top-shelf' alcohol that I want(like grey goose). My BM knows how angry I am. Hes not budging. And being so close to the wedding, I don't have it in me to argue anymore.
