Has anyone ever taken prenatal vitamins to make their hair grow.... and not becuase they were expecting.. a few people told me I can do this.. just wondering if anyone has ever done it.. I am taking hair vitamins now but I woul dlike to try something stronger... What do you girls think or know??? THanks Kim

i heard the same thing, but i was a little hesitant. i dont know why, cuz it isnt like theres something in them that could hurt you, but im weird like that!!! i started taking the hair skin and nail vitamins from gnc. i also know that the vitamin biotin is for hair too. you can buy those in gnc as well

THanks.. yeah I was on Biotin for the past year... and it kind of just stopped working so I decided to change., I am also on the one from GNC.. I think I am going to call my Physician and ask him what he thinks.. I think in our minds we hear prenatal and think we can somehow get pregnant from them LOL!

Nothing will happen from taking prenatal vitamins. I have taken them for years. They are just going to have some extra folic acid in them, which isn't going to hurt ya! The only complaint some people have is that they can be hard on your tummy. I take mine before bed at night, so I can't say that they bother mine! HTH

do you think they halp with growing your hair? do you see a difference when taking them?
Yeah I started taking them, no sure if there is a difference yet, it's fairly new.

I think they do just as well or better than straight biotin. I actually got started taking them about 5 years ago when my MOH was prego w/ her daughter. She said they bothered her tummy and gave them to me (we were out shopping and I had said I needed vitamins) so I started taking them. They are reasonably priced and seem to work so I've continued!

im sure nothing will happen if you take them as for side effects, they are very large though and leave a nasty taste in your mouth afterwards,......but they make your hair and nails grow long

I took prenatal vitamins.. But only because I was pregnant LOL.... Alls I know is when you are pregnant, your hair grows and you dont lose any of it.... But thats all I know!

Yup, I use the over the counter ones and it def helps hair and nails grow. The nail part is kind of annoying for me I like keeping my nails short and square and they'll grow out often.
