OK, so how much do we have to cover stuff up? Im bringing some stuff downstairs (clothes) and most of the furniture is staying on the main floor of the house, just in a room thats not getting refinished. Do we have to cover the furniture with sheets, or what about things in the kitchen? Everything is in the cabinets. Do we have to wash everything after the floors are done? I know this stuff is 'potent' as JennRenee called it so i wanna be on the safe side.

When my brother did his floors they moved everything out of the area. THey also hired a cleaning company to do the after cleaning as my SIL was pregnant at the time! Either way the clean up is a task! there is dust everywhere!

We were told by two friends that used them that they leave the place spotless! We were excited about that alone!

The rooms we had done were empty so that wasnt a problem. We put plastic sheets behind the doors to every room and secured them as best we could. Same thing for the kitchen. It wasnt too bad. I did have to wipe down all the door and the walls in the hall way. The kitchen only required a normal cleaning.

I only taped off the kitchen when they did my floors. The guys who did mine cleaned the house - it was spotless!!!!

I'll let you know on Monday b/c my kitchen floor is being done tonight and they told me they would finish on Friday - all I know is my husband did sheet rock and sanding in my basement and I had the dust in my upstairs bedrooms (three floors up) How it got up there I don't know

You may get some dust. They had a bag on the sander they used, but there was still dust. I dont think it will be spotless.

They do have a bag attached that the sander sucks up all the dusk. It does however still leave traces of dusk. Another thing, when they poly. you floor they may hit the mouldings around the room.
