We met with a photographer who showed us that we have an option of printing up a photo of us with a preprinted, general thank you message. Is this poor etiquette? It's sooo much easier than handwriting each and every one!

Re: Prepreinted thank yous?
if your guest will spend the time and money... getting ready, getting to your wedding and getting you a gift! Then you have time to write out a thank you note.

I just received a pre-printed thank you from a college graduation party FH and I went to and thought it was really tacky. Definitely take the time to write out a thank you.

Well....i'm not going to say no to the cute photo thank yous, but i'll probably add a little handwritten note. Its insane to think i'm going to write out 200+ of them tho.....

It's tempting to save time (and to not get hand cramps), but in my honest opinion, we owe it to our guests to personalize the thank you's. They will really appreciate getting a hand-written note that reminds them how important it was that they shared in your day.
eta: my sister got photo thank you cards: photo and a printed note on the front, but then wrote out a personalized note for each person on the back. It was really nice

I agree with the above posters, the right thing to do is right a personal message in a thank you.

If it comes with your photo package then I would get them but definitely write a personal message on it. It doesn't have to be a novel, but a little something

You could have a general message in there....but you need to add a note to each one
