Prescription!

So my dermatologist put me on this antibiotic since my skin has decided to erupt... i dropped it off over the weekdn and I'm waiting for the funds in my HSA account to show online... so since I can't get it filled right away, i though i'd poke around to see how much it would cost... I don't have a copay, but will have to pay whatever the insurance company would pay for it... (HSAs, fun...)

Anyway, it's $1,400 for a 12 week supplly! CRAPOLA, that's insane!! There's no way I'd have that money in the account yet, so thank god for credit cards... damm new insurance plan!

What antibiotic is it? I take minocycline (genercic of Dynacin) and it is far less expensive! Wow thats crazy!

Tell him to write you another subscription for something else...First off he should tell you if he is giving you a prescription for $1400, theres no reason you should pay that much

Agreed! there is probably an effective generic unless it is a brand new product! Don't you dare spend that much!

Sorry, just had to get that out, you have a wedding to save for!

That's funny... My Derm put me on that too so I can have nice skin b4 the wedding.

You have to ask for a generic! I used dynacin and the generic and both were fine!!!

Insurance doesn't like to cover Acne drugs because they're considered cosmetic...what bullsh**...

i just called my dr and told them how much -- they even gasped!!!

so i'm getting a generic -- they were like... you'll have to take it twice a day now... who cares if I have to take it 16 times a day as long as it doesn't cost $1400!!!
