My mom just called me at work, and she said some boxes came for me today. She wasnt sure if i should open them or should she bring them to my shower.... what is the usual??

As they arrive . I guess if they were for the shower they would be brought no? I have no waiting skills I would rip them all open .

I wanted to open it right away and my mom wanted me to wait in case there was anything in the gift that might give away when my shower was. Well, she won and ended up bringing it to the shower.
