presents for readers?

Mom said she never heard of this, or more importantly received one. Is anyone doing this and if so, what? They are getting corsages/ bouts, is that enough?

Im not giving my reader anything because she is one of my BM but if someone else was a reader that was not in the bridal party I would get them a corsage.

Probably the same thing as for the groomsmen, Readers are both guys. But we haven't decided what that will be yet. A nice bottle of wine is always a welcomed gift!

I am not getting my readers flowers or a gift. They are getting invited to the rehearsal dinner. I would have given them a bottle if wine wasn't my wedding favor.

2014- crasher...

I was a reader for a wedding this past september and I was invited to the RD. No gifts or flowers but to me it was really not necessary so I wasn't offended or anything. I was just honored that they asked me to be part of their wedding!

I have never heard of giving readers presents...lol....but if you want to do that just get them something small.

I know someone who was a reader and she received a thin metal bookmark with a thank you note engraved on the bottom of it. I thought that was an extremely thoughtful gift for to purpose.

Ok, I thought I had to get a gift but honestly if it's not etiquette then I could save the cash! They are invited to the rd and all receiving corsages or bouts, so I'll leave it at that. Thanks ladies

My 2 brothers are our readers, so I bought them engraved monogrammed cufflinks as gifts & they will be wearing boutonnieres as well.
