Re: preserve the dress....
I just sent my dress to wedclean to be cleaned and preserved. I heard a lot of good things about them on the boards, so I went for it. But actually you are supposed to take your dress out of the box every once in a while I heard - so if you really want you could probably put it on
btw, I believe it costs $129 (price will go up if you send additional items like your veil & also depending on how much you insure it for). Still a much better price than most other places.

Re: preserve the dress....
my local cleaner did it for $200...he said it's a good thing to clean them early & not let the dress sit around dirty for months because then it's harder to get the dirt out (mine was dragged all over the beach for pics, so the bottom was nasty!)

I sent my dress to wedclean too. It cost $163 total with shipping, insurance and tax. I just shipped it to them last week and I've already gotten the UPS notification that they shipped it back to me.

Re: preserve the dress....
I used Wedclean as well...at the time it only cost me $99 plus the cost of putting my veil in there. I got it back in a week. Oh, and I didn't take out the insurance on it.
