Preserving your gown

Preserving your gown

As of now my gown is sitting in my closet but I want to have it preserved. Do any of you have some suggestions on where to go? Also, do the store the veil with the dress? How much does it typically cost and how long until I get it back? And last question, will they get out the the stains along the hem line where it dragged along the floor?

I don't know where you live but I took mine to my local cleaners. He is going to clean it and preserve it. He says the price varies depending on the amount of detail. Mine was $130. They usually store the veil with the dress. My MOH is getting married in July and wants to borrow my veil so the cleaners is going to package and preserve my veil separately after July. Let me know if you want specifics of where I took mine or if you have any other questions.

ugh while i was on my HM i asked my mother to bring my dress in for me to be cleaned and preserved..she brought it to jef-el in oceanside (dry cleaners) i have to say they are very good and have been there for years, but the price tag to do this surprised me..they asked for 350 dollars!!
i wouldve NEVER done it but i asked my mother to take it in and she said 'well jaime, i did what u asked me to'..um ok yea ma thanks lol maybe do alil price comparison first?!
they did do my veil too, and i do have to say my dress AND my veil had alot of detail and swarvovski crystals so i knew it would be alil more
try looking around!!
