Has anyone- by any chance- looked into going on their HM in Feb. (teachers, where are you? lol)... We want to go on a HM then, and were thinking of places like Costa Rica, St. Lucia, or St. Maarten, somewhere that wont take us longer than 3 hrs or so to fly to and isnt too expensive... anyone know of or been to a resonable, nice, ALL ADULTS NO CHILDREN place around this time???? Thank u!!!!!

I am a teacher and will be having my HM during christmas break. My school got rid of presidents week...and turned it into a 4 day weekend. We booked Cancun.
Good luck on your search. Start now!!! Before it gets pricey

You could try a travel agent for some ideas...and then go book the same thing on expedia. It's always cheaper online. I booked through expedia. And just back everything up with Tripadvisor

Re: President's Week HM
I prefer to use my travel agent. I had tried booking on Orbitz for flights to Cancun last year. The week before my trip I looked on line to check on my flights and found that my flight from JFK to Miami was cancelled and was never notified. I would have gone to the airport and been at a loss! It took me over an hour on the phone trying to get it resolved with Orbitz.
Friend used Expedia and had problems with flight being cancelled while she was away. The airlines would not help her because the flight was made through a thrid party.
This is your HM! Do you really want to take a chance and run into problems? This is one time that you want to be able to have a person you know to contact, just in case of an emergency or problem.
There are plenty of deals out there ... find yourself a travel agent. If you don't like the price, tell them and ask them to find something withn your budget.
I have a great Travel Agent. We have used her for Hawaii, Alaska and Europe. She always tries to find the best deal for us. She treats everyone like you are her family.
FM me if you want her number.

flights aren't out yet :( Still need to book ours. That week we are doing a cruise. But try vacationstogo.com - they are all inclusive online travel agency. I've used them before and they are great!

We're going to Sandals in Jamaica that week, it's going to be my 30th I believe Sandals are Adults Only Resorts.
FH booked it, a few days ago, and it's surprisingly affordable, they are having a 50% off sale.
The flights during that time, are pricy tho, If we're paying $3k for the resort, including all drinks, food & most entertainment, it's $1k for the flight there and back.

Re: President's Week HM
We're going to St Lucia over Christmas vacation...
FYI - If you want to go to St Lucia, the only airline that flies direct is Jetblue...and they are expensive, but I don't want to waste two days of flying when we only have a week there so we booked with Jetblue.
My friend who works for Sandals stalked Jetblue until the flights opened to make sure that we got the direct flights!

My friend stayed at a 'Secrets' resort in the Dominican Republic that was adults only. Check out their website, they have a of different locations.
