So in the madness of this past weekend I actually met with FIL's travel agent. Originally we thought we'd stay at the Atlantis, but when we found out the prices, the value is just not there. Basically for a mid-range room with island view, airfare and meal plan (no beverages) and no water sports (motor and non motor) the price estimate is $2600 per person for 7 nights.
At Sandals in the Bahamas we are getting all-inclusive with an Oceanview deluxe room for $2300 per person including airfare, all meals and beverages, and all sports although not all motorized water sports plus the option of having room service during our stay (included)
So I wanted to know even if you didn't stay at the Royal Bahamian, which resort did you go too and how did you enjoy your stay? would you go back again? and did you get good value for the money you spent?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Previous Sandals Honeymooner's, I have questions.
We went to Sandals Bahamas on our HM and loved it. And yes we can't wait to go back. We thought we got a great deal. We are big eaters so it was great being able to eat all the time and having the variety!!!
I love the Bahamas and think any place you stay you will have an awesome time

WE actually just got back from there! we spent five days of our honeymoon there and then went on a cruise for seven days. sandals was great!! aside from souveniers and extra water sports (we jet skied) we didnt spend a dime! you could eat whenever and drink all the time!! the food was good too! i recommend it! it was very relaxing and a nice atmosphere.

Re: Previous Sandals Honeymooner's, I have questions.
Read my review thread in Brides Review about Sandals Royal Bahamian. Definitely NOT a 10 out of 10.
In fact one thing I didn't mention in my review was... when we got there... there were two couples complaining that they felt their rooms weren't adequate enough. Meaning... they paid extra for a 'better room' and felt it wasn't up to expectations or as it was described and looked on the website.
I figured a lot more people felt this way since I saw two myself. But since I got the entry level room... I didn't really care about this.
Read my review for a good story.

If you haven't read my review... and are debating if its worth the read...
... let me tease you with the fact that we started off the honeymoon by Sandals giving us the keys to somebody else's room (and we didn't realize it was someone else's room till we walked in).
You can read the rest of the story in the bridal review.

I read DjPiLL's review. Sounds like its gone down hill since 2004. I spent my honeymoon there in 4/04 and loved it. We paid for the upgraded room, had a nice view, found it to be very clean, and had 'concierge' service the entire week. The nightlife is sort of weak -- we spent most nights at the Crystal Palace at the casino. It was a $3 cab ride down the road. We went on a day trip to Atlantis and took the bus into town during the day to shop.
