'Price is Right' Controversy

Ok, you all may not care about this but I had to share:

Yesterday on Price is Right (Thursday), the 4 contestants bid on a cieling fan. One guy bid $775, but Bob didn't hear him and the board lit up $1795. The guy didn;t notice this and didn;t say anything. The girl next to him bid $1. the actual price was $999. So, by rights, the guy shoud have won because he was closer, but the screen said $1795 so the girl who bid $1 won.

She gets up on stage and wins a car. After they come back from commercial, Bob makes mention of the mishap and gives the guy who bid $775 a car too! The girl keeps the car but she has to go back in the contestants row because 'technically' she didn;t win in the last round.

She won the next round which meant for the first time in show history, one contestant played 2 games. She lost the second game. The guy won the the round with the wheel and got into the showcase. At the end, he and the other showcase conetstant both went over on their showcases.
