price of BM dresses???

What is the average price of BM dresses? What do you guys feel is ok to ask the girls to spend, w/o alterations? Thank you!

it really depends on the dress/designer.. but i would say around $200. IMO, i would think over $250 is a bit much but thats just me.

I would like to keep it less than 200, if possible.

$200 w/ out tax and alterations is acceptable in my book.

I was clueless...lol... my girls came to $150, $180 for the MOHS..and we are going locally for the alterations...

I'd say about $200.00. My girls paid $184 for their dresses. But thier alts were $50 and the shoes were $70. The dress I originally choose was $250 w/ shoes and alts it's was too much. I was actually happier with the cheaper dress in the end and so were my BMs. Good Luck!

My girls dresses were $200 b/4 taxes, i did my best to go as low as possible b/c i felt bad, they not only have to pay for the dresses, but shoes, and hair and makeup the day of... it all adds up!

we used RK Bridal (who also Price match) so we stayed under $175 for both MOH dress and BM dress...

even with alterations it will be under $200 which is great..

the gown my MOH and I picked for the BP is $182 ++ so probably with tax/alterations around $230-240.

i would say about $150 is reasonable for a dress they will only wear once... over $200 for me is too much, b/c with alterations it becomes a lot.

Mine are a bit expensive...around $300. Before tax and alterations. Oh well, I think they think I am worth it.

same here, it was $240, but then with tax and some girls needed extra length, it came to almost $290

MY bridesmaid dresses were $220.

If the girls have to pay for their own dresses, definitely under $200....$150 would be ideal.

what are some designers (other than Davids Bridal) that have some dresses under $200, preferably around $150?
