What do you all feel is a reasonable amount to ask your bridesmaids to spend on their BM dresses? I feel that being a part of a wedding can be so expensive that I want to try to keep the price as budget-friendly as possible--definitely under $200. Was just wondering what your thoughts are.
My dresses were no more then $200. I called a million places to get it under that price.
The dress was originally $185 but we got discounts and I *think* it got down to $156. I was aiming for under $200 for sure.
Id like to keep it under two hundred, but the last 2 BM dresses I bought were well over 200 so, they didnt care. If I find something I love and its over 200...oh well.
I originally didnt want them to spend more than 150 but they found a dress that they loved and it was originally 225 but becasue i got my dress at the same shop they paid 190. I gave them the option of getting that one or we could keep looking. They loved that one and didnt mind spending the extra money. Especially since they had time to order it

I have been a BM about a million times... the prices ranged anywhere from 140-230 PLUS alterations! the alterations can make or break the price... so check out what their 'average' price is for alterations... or if they have one price no matter what... i think that is where the extra money is going to really hit the girls! HTH!
