I am getting married in March 2010. I just booked my church (super exciting), but i was wondering if the price they are charging for the ceremony is normal.
It was 750.00 which includes the Pre-cana (meetings), the church, the singers, and the ladies that help with the rehersal?
My sister got married five years ago in a different church, and my mother said she paid a lot less?

I think that's normal. My friend's church in Astoria was around that.

if that includes the donation then yeah its pretty standard. SOme pay even more, then a few less but it varies from church to church

our donation was 600, and music was 250. we paid to do pre- cana out of state, which was maybe 75? yea, it seems right.. churches are expensive..

We're paying $550 and that includes pre-cana and the organist.
We paid $500 for church, $150 for music and $195 for pre-cana so that is about right.....

My church is in MD, but it is 750 with no precana or music. Those are separate!

ugh... it sickens me that the catholic church asks for such ridiculous amounts of money... a friend of mine paid close to $1400!!! our church luckily is only $350... pre-cana is a standard fee through the diocese of rockville center, unless you can do it through your church...

mine is $660. the price is $400 for ceremony, $180 for the singer and organist, $60 for pre-cana, and $20 for the servers.
