Price Quotes for Flowers - For girls with large weddings...

I'm meeting with my first florist this weekend and am trying to get a ball park figure so I can have an idea of what to expect price-wise. I know that prices differ depending on what type of centerpieces/flowers you get, etc. I'm not interested in orchids or calla lilies & would rather try to get in-season flowers. I feel that spending a fortune on flowers is crazy esp. since they are dead or thrown out by the next day. I obviously still want them to look nice but if this is somewhere we can cut costs, then I def. want to be able to take advantage of that.

Our minimum is 220 (in order to give you an idea of guest count)

Here's what I'm looking for:

1/2 High & 1/2 Low Centerpieces
My Bouquet
2 MOH's Bouquets (want them to be slightly different from the BM's)
5 BM Bouquets
1 Jr. BM Bouquet (slightly smaller than the BM's)
2 FG baskets

1 Groom's boutineer
7 GM boutineers
1 RB boutineer

Cake decor

And possible corsages for my grandmother, FH's grandmothers & MOG. My mom doesn't want one. Also boutineers for FOB, FOG & grandfather of groom.

Another maybe is a centerpiece for the place card table. Would maybe consider doing an assortment of candles instead of flowers for this table if the price is better.

I booked with B urtons. They dont charge by flower type which i loved and i thought my quote was reasonable. Another thing that i loved is they only do weddings nothing else. I had a good vibe with them. My wedding is much smaller than yours so i can't help you out there. I know im paying $75.00 for smaller centerpeices with all the types of flowers i picked out. They showed me a sample of one that was headed to a wedding and it was beautiful. It was a small centerpeice as in it was not tall...the size was more that i would have expected. Hope this helps a little.

25 tall/low centerpieces (12 high, 13 low). No fillers and No green!!!
3 votive candles on each table
Scattered petals on each table
1 bridal bouquet (all calla lily) with rhinestone wrapping
4 bridesmaid bouquet
7 bouts-groom, gm, fathers, grandfather
3 corsages-motherd and grandmother

$3,000

I hope this helps, this is a quote for 25 centerpices. But I will be needing 30.

I heard B*rtons and Flower Barn are among the reasonable florists. However, I think you said on our board your hall is in Jersey, I would suggest finding a NJ florist to eliminate the large delivery costs if the out of town florist increases your fee on this.

To eliminate some floral costs:
Include votive candles, and buy them in bulk. Your hall should be able to set this up for you.
Flower pedals you should not have to pay for if you are getting a large quantity of flowers. This should be a throw in.

Here is what I have:

1 Bridal Bouquet
5 bridesmaids bouquets
throwaway
3 corsages, MOB, MIL, and Grandmother
10 Bouts s, 6 Groomesmen, FOB, FIL, Groom, and ring barrier
$205 = Designs by Rose

For centerpieces I am doing my own which saves me about $400.

17 centerpieces (3 cylinders filled with water, submerged calla lilly, orchid, and sea grass each in it's own cylinder)
I keep the cylinders

1 groom boutonniere

2 floral displays for ceremony (and will be moved to reception)

I'm buying candle holders from a liwedding bride for $1 a piece. I will probably add these to the centerpieces and will definitely place them on our table, cake table, and placecard table.

I met with 6 different florists and I got the best price from Hidden Essence. Michelle is wonderful to work with and will work with your budget and give you amazing flowers!

I didn't know anything about flowers at all and I wanted someone who had a artistic vision who can do something extremely creative. She worked with my idea and made it look absolutely spectacular. She has pics of all her weddings on Facebook so you can see every wedding that she does.

I have about the same requirements as you, plus a chuppah w flower decoration.

My budget was 3k and I am pretty close to that. I went with Hidden Essence (not sure if she will travel to NJ) but my preference was based on her high energy, flexible nature, home-based business (no overhead so pricing is way better), and great reviews.

I would check three florists and maybe consider someone who is home based to get a better quote. Flowers do die, but of course we all want the beauty we envision too.

I went to FBB and they don't charge by flower type.

Basically tall center pieces are $175 and small ones are $100.

i booked with them and my tall CP were only $125 each
its not by flower type but it depends on how full you want them (how much green shows)

i had a large BP and a large guest list... i used the house florist for my RH... we recieved a huge discount...

25 low cps (orange & hot pink gerbera's, roses and green berries in cube vase)
1 bride bok (orange & hot pink gerbera's, roses and green berries)
1 moh bok (same as mine just smaller)
8 bm bok (same as moh just smaller)
1 jr bm bok (orange gerbers with green berries)
1 fg bok (same as jr just smaller)
15 bouts (hot pink roses with green berries for gm's & rb, white roses with green berries for fathers and male readers)
5 corsages (3 gma & 1 mom cors white roses and green berries, 1 female reader same as gmas just smaller)
cake flowers and scattered rose petals on cake table
free cp for our table

$1600

SOOOO freaking happy... i love my florist!!!!

ETA: my bok will be wrapped in white satin, the bm's will be wrapped in satin the same color as their dresses... they told me to bring one of the dresses and they will match the color

Thanks girls for the suggestions. My hall is in NJ so I definitely plan on using something closer to my hall but just wanted to get an idea of what I should expect price-wise.

My dad is actually friendly with one of the florists we are meeting with this weekend, so maybe that'll work to our advantage?
