I think the one part of this whole planning I'm most excited about is my dress.
My mom has offered to pay for my gown, and from all of the looking I've done online, these are the 2 designers that I love the most - I think that its worth it to me to splurge on a dress, I just was wondering about how much these would be - I can't see asking my mom to spend over 6k or so -so I don't want to go to POB and fall in love with something I can't get!!

It depends what line you like from POB. My dress is from the Vineyard collection, and is one of their least expensive gowns. That's because it's extremely simple, no embellishments or beading or lace. Just a plain taffeta ballgown. My dress was $2,650 plus alterations. The Melissa Sweet, and Platinum dresses are $3,000-$6,500+ as far as I know. Good luck! I love these gowns! I got my bm dresses there as well, and got 15% off because I had bought my gown there. If you go to the Roslyn boutique, ask for Kathy, she's the nicest woman in the world!

My dress is a Platinum by POB. The prices ranged from $3,500 to $7,000. I love it and it is worth EVERY penny, imo. I loved all the collections at POB, so I knew I had to get one from them!!! I actually ended up buying the dress at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset though, they carry POB gowns too!

From my experience I would say for POB at the minimum $4k....one dress I tried on was $12k (of course I didn't get that one!) But their dresses are definitely on the higher end. I ended up with an Ines Di Santo gown.
