Price Ranges for Gown Designers

Can you ladies share what the price rnages were for the designers you looked at? I just want to have an idea before I start really looking of what designers are in what price range. THANKS!

I can't really give you a range because I only tried on a handful of dresses and I didn't look at the price until I found 'the one'. My dress was by Demetrios and was $1100.

My best friend's gown was Demetrios too and it was $1300.

My dress is by Stephen Yearick for YSA Makino and cost $3,000

Diamond bridal (no longer in business) $2,000

I highly recommend shopping around. I first tried on my dress at Macy's and they were selling it for $2,800. I found it at another store, Charmet on Bell Blvd. in Bayside, for $1,999 including alterations.

My dress was Mon Cheri and was $1200 in Kleinfelds. But someone recently told me they got it for about $700 someplace else.

Here's what I saw when I was looking:
Reem Acra, cheapest was around $3100
Richard Glasgow $3000 and up (mine was $4500)
Yolanda $2000 and up
Ines di Santo $2000 and up
Amsale $3000 and up

Yolanda $2000 and up
Ines di Santo $2000 and up
Amsale $3000 and up

Just to note - the Reem Acra dresses that start at $3K (and slightly lower) are part of her Rose Line - which are not made of silk satin. They also dont have as much detail as the Reem's couture line

ETA: Justina McCaffrey gowns (which are absolutely GORGEOUS! start around $5K

Mine is by Forever Yours. In Paradise Bridal, it's $800.00, but on netbride.com, it's $449.00. Guess where I'm ordering from!!

Dang, mine is a cheapie compared to you guys!!

This is what I tried on:

Reem Acra $4000
Amsale (Kenneth Pool) $5600
Mon Cheri $1100 but buying it for $680! (sorry nferrandi!)

Shop around, and go to different places to see the same dress once you decide what you want. I went to another store to see my dress in a different color and it was $500 cheaper!

Thanks! I was wondering why the dress was so much less expensive than what I'd heard!
