Hi, everyone :) I just got engaged around Christmas time and am just starting to plan a Summer 2013 wedding!
I haven't started visiting/getting quotes from reception halls yet (there are so many..it's so overwhelming!!) but we hope to start next week. How much of a price difference do you think there actually is between a Friday or Saturday night? 20pp? 30? more? Just wondering...I'm mostly interested in a Friday, but if the difference isn't THAT much, maybe we could swing a Sat...
Looks like there will be about 130 guests... I'm thinking about visiting Westbury Manor, Thatched Cottage, Timber Point...and that's all I know for now!

For the places I visited it was usually a 15-25 dollar difference pp from a Friday to a Saturday night. Also usually the guaranteed minimum is much higher on a Saturday night. HTH

Congrats on your engagement!! As for pricing the places I looked at ranged anywhere from $30-$50 difference. Good luck on your search!

THIS! Westbury Manor wanted $20 more per head and the minimum was 175 (instead of 150). I also looked at Fox Hollow - they were only $10 more per head, but the min went up like 40 people. HTH! Happy Planning! :)

These are quotes we received for May/2013:
Friday PM - $90.95 Saturday AM - $85.95 Saturday PM - $105.95 Sunday AM - $78.95 Sunday PM - $80.95
Not included in the prices are: Maitre d' fee, 18% Service charge, $550 House charge, 8.625% tax.

East Wind only had a $5 difference between Fri and Sat which is why we ended up with the Saturday. And, the BM we met with at Lombardis on the Bay quoted us the same price for a fri/sat and told us that price was good at any of the Lombardis owned properties. It all depends I guess.

I'll second that East Wind was only a $5 difference, but they wanted a higher reserve. For the Veranda room, it went from 90 to 100 people. Such a low number it wasn't that big of deal.
At Douglaston Manor (my RH!) there was a $15 dollar difference beween Friday night and Saturday night, and we were able to talk down the minimum guest by 25 people
