I'd like to hire someone to sing Ave Maria and one other song during Mass. Does anyone have advice on how to find a vocalist? I don't want to go through an agent. Also, how much do they usually charge?

Where are you getting married? I am a musician and have a friend who is an amazing vocalist. Just depends on where and when. You can call local colleges. Just make sure you audition the people first. There are some amazing vocalists at SUNY Stony Brook, and students will charge much much less. Probably like a 100 bucks, if that. Good Luck and let me know if I can help more!
