HOLY CRAP- i just spoke with some of my friends and they told me how much they paid for their invitations!!! i cant belive how expensive they can be..... Has anyone done DIY inviations??? If you have, can you post some pics- was the work worth it????

Many, many, many people did there own. If you click on there names & it says DIY that means that is all the stuff they did themselves.
I paid about $400- for 125 invitations.

we bought invitation kits from MichaELS' they have all the pieces you need but you print yourself. they run $25 -$40 for 25-50 invites per box but buy w coupons! mine were $42 for 100.

I cant believe how much girls are paying for invitations either. Mine were about $200 for everything...invitations w/envelopes and response cards with envelopes and inner envelopes.

I got 175 invitations with the whole shebang (color ink, lined inner envelope, RSVP card & envelope, reception card) for a little over $400 from EZ Calligraphy (Michelle is a LIW vendor)

I got mine thru Michelle as well. I knew exactly what I wanted and she quoted me the best price for them.
I suggest that you determine exactly which invitations you want and have vendors bid for your business.

Wedding invites ARE very expensive! We spent almost $800 on ours and this is what was included:
- 175 invitations and envelopes (two inserts per invitation, one for wedding and one for reception) -175 thank you cards and envelopes - 175 RSVPs and envelopes
