Pricing and negotiations

Sorry if this has been covered already, but does anyone know which type of vendors you can negotiate in price with? I successfully haggled a price for the DJ, but I still need to book a photographer, videographer and limo.

Pricing and negotiations

We found that Limo's were almost impossible to negotiate with, although we needed just a minimum package. We were trying to get a single limo for a short time - 2 hours - and no one would budge below the 3 hour wedding package. You can probably bargain if you are getting multiple limos. Just about anyone will bargain if you position it as a win-win situation. Figure out what you want that does not cost them significantly - swap sizes of photos - trade off albums for enlargements - negotiate extra proofs in lieu of an 11 x 14 blow up or an engagement session. For florists - give them a low-end budget figure and see what they can do from there. Most seem to have set prices on bouquets but you can work with the other items. Good luck!

Pricing and negotiations

We found that EVERYTHING is negotiable. If you don't ask, you'll never know...

Pricing and negotiations

I definately negotiated my prices. You can do things such as swap like another bride did or ask for a personal package and include only what you want. Also, just say this is my budget, can you do it of X? If they say no, look around at another vendor and then decide.
