I am getting married in early 2010. I have visited a few places i loved (flowerfields) that have offered a package in the off season. The package includes $2,500 towards photos and 100 dollars for each center piece. With an expected guest list of 150 that would be around 1,300-1.500 towards the centerpieces. They also include ice sculptures and wedding cake upgrade.
How much does a bride 'normally' pay for centerpieces and a basic photography package?
I am trying to figure out if i am getting a good deal, or am i totally confused because i am a newbie at this wedding planning deal!

$2500 for a photographer is a good price. But did you see the photographers work. That is probably the most important vendor since you do want amazing pics since that will last a lifetime. SO make sure its somebody you would love and its the style of photography you like. Average price for photographer is about $3-5k, some packages $2-3k you can get. And then there are some even higher
Flowers, hard to say bc depends on the type of flowers used in the cp and bouquets. That can make the price drastically change if you use an expensive flower or one that is not in season. But on average low cp's are $35-100, high cp's on average are $125-200 each.

My photog and video package is $4200 and that includes 2 photogs a videographer for 10 hours. Depending on what kind of CP you want you can definately get low ones for under $100 and High ones probably start and $125

I totally agree with Denise, do not go with the Photog because of the price - you have to absolutely love there work and it has to be the style you want - do you know what you get with the photog?

ITA Denise! Our photography/videography package was in the range you gave, but we kind of customized ours to only include the items we wanted.
As for our flowers, our high & low centerpieces were higher than both ranges Denise gave, but we're getting specialty flowers for the time of year we're getting married so they're being flown in. I think Denise is dead on though for average prices!

my photographer/video is about $5,000.
We are using Burtons for flowers and were quoted $75 for low and $95 for high cps.
