Pricing for Photo & Video

Pricing for Photo & Video

OK, so I just met with my first potential photo/video...for $4,100 they includ 1 photographer (all day no overtime) with proofs on disc & rights, engagement shoot, main album, 2 parent albums, 100 thank you cards & 1 videographer for ceremony & reception with 3 DVDs of edited video to music with photo montage. I met with this company with my mom...we were there for 2 hours and we thought he was very nice & seemed to be very honest. He went through everything with us. Does this pricing sound reasonable for everything he's offering? Do you think I should continue to shop around & risk losing my date with him? My mom thinks I should book with them because we both liked him & it seems like what he's offering for the price is reasonable...sooo confused!

I believe ours was $3,000 (no album) but thank you cards and 10 hours with 2 photographers but we decided afterwards not to do the video.

Could be less because we are not in prime wedding season.

Shop around, go to 2 other places before you book it.

I think I know who u met with. If I'm right, hes def great and you wont be disappointed. Plus im sure he gave you a great deal.

But if you want to look at some more places b4 making a final decision then I say defintely do that. Nothing wrong with shopping around and knowing what your options are.

I thought it was on the higher end until I read that videography is included. It's a good price.

we are paying 3200 for photo, 2 photogs, e-shoot, thank yous, album, parent albums, 10 hrs coverage, rights to our pics and 1200 for 2 videographers, 3 dvds., all day coverage. we are using 2 diff vendors. it was important for us to have 2 photographers. but overall your price isnt bad

I think it sounds like a fair deal...if you were comfortable with him, I'd say go ahead and book. How much could you possible save by shopping around, without jeapordizing quality...

Book them! One of the only vendors I am not worried about. And I worry about everything!

Which company is this? Such a good price!

I think that is a really good price for both video and photo. If your gut tells you that you love them, then book. But if you are unsure, contact a view others and ask them for their packages/pricing just to compare. Good luck!!

It looks like your prices are very high. For 3500$ you should get HDSLR quality movie, 2 videographers, 1 photographer, exclusive photobooks (1 large for you and 2 medium for parents), on location on the other day than wedding etc. 3500$ - it's expensive, I hope the quality is worth of that price.

Thank you for agreeing with me.

Price does not always guarantee quality.

If you like the quality of the pictures and you think its worth the money then its all good! Depends on whats important to you. Also it's good you know the photographer who will actually be taking the pictures at your wedding.

We're about to book with a photographer on the higher end of what we want to pay but we like the style of the photographer so we're sacrificing some other stuff for now. We know we're not getting all the bells and whistles with it, just hopefully nice photos.

We've checked out a few photogs that were giving us great deals on photos really cheap in comparison, but the quality of the photos taken we didn't like at all.

I could ask my preteen niece to take pictures with a snap and shoot and it'd come looking the same, I just can't ask her because she'll be partying!
