not sure what i should do, i had booked my wedding almost 2 years ago with a priest in my parish... and then decided to call up recently just to find out what else i need to do, when the priest is supposed to meet with us again, and when i can set a rehearsal date. I found out the priest we were originally booked with had left and they referred me to another priest that took over his spot. i had left 2 messages for him thus far and no response yet! i'm the worry wart type of person so i just want to make sure i'm still even in their book! do you think it would be out of line to actually go down to the church at this point?

I was having the same problem calling the priest that is taking care of the paperwork at my church. I would call and he wouldnt get back to to me. Keep calling and leave messages for him. He will get back to you. Cant the secretary there give you any info on if you are still in the book? If you still havent gotten any answers by next week I would go to the church to try to find out what is going on.
I am also kinda worried about my priest also. He is leaving the end of the month and from what I am hearing the priest that is taking over speaks very little english and I am worried about the lanuage barrier.

i dont think so. maybe you can ask the person who answers the phone what would a good time that you could reach him that you dont want his voicemail. than maybe attend a mass that he is doing and try to sneak in a talk with him after-----to introduce yourself and than he will see you go to church

No I would go. I needed to talk to my church the past 2 days and nagged the crap out of them. I eventually got a call back late last night but it was insane. If I didn't live 45 minutes away from my church I would have went there too

I had the same problem with my church in the beginning. It took FOREVER for my priest to get back to me.
This might sound funny, but does he have an email address? I've found my priest responds much quicker via email.......from his Blackberry, lol. It's weird to me

personally i would go down there is NOTHING wrong with that. It is your wedding and you need to make sure everything is in order
