Can anyone tell me anything about this place? I was there today and tried on dresses. they told me that it takes 6-8 months to get a dress and i kinda felt pressured to order right away. other stores have told me it takes 3-4 months. Just wanted opinions and feedback. Thanks.

Re: Princess Bridal- Farmingdale
My sister got her dress there in 2004 and had a good experience. She ordered a Maggie Sottero gown and also had her alterations there. They did a beautiful job. It did take a while for her dress to come in too.
Based on my sister's experience, I went there to look at gowns before I made my final decision, and the saleslady was helpful. She pulled a bunch of different gowns based on pics I brought in. To be honest, the one thing I didn't like is that they won't tell you the designer's name or style # of the dresses you like, and tags are cut out so you can't go shop around.
If you feel pressured, go with your gut. Don't be talked into something just because they tell you timing is an issue. Somehow you'll know when it's the right dress at the right time.
BTW, when I read your question to my sister to get her opinion about PB, she asked if you're a 'Days of Our Lives' fan because of your screenname.

LOL! I'm a huge fan of Days- hence the screen name! I love Bo and Hope.

I had a horrible customer service experience, so i literally went there b/c they were the only place with my maggie sample to try on. I ggot measured and pretended I was getting it there and then I ordered it from village bridal in babylon.

I went there because they had a sample of the dress I wanted in the size I wanted. I did end up ordering the dress with them because they matched the price. I ordered the dress in July. I am thinking I should call to check in soon.

Re: Princess Bridal- Farmingdale
I was just there this past week and Rosemarie was very nice and helpful. She showed me some beautiful gowns and stuck to my price range for the most part.
Also, if you find the dress you like there or know exactly which dress you want, they will negotiate the price. Don't worry if the initial quote is a bit high.

I ordered my Maggie Dress in August I should get in Feb/March - Carmella was Incredible and went out of her way to help me -
It was the only place I went so I hope everything stays good I did call other places they were the cheapest with the gown I wanted.
Listen bottom line everyone has there own good/bad experiences you have to go with your gut -

Re: Princess Bridal- Farmingdale
3 of my GF got married and they all used Princess bridals for their weddings we had a HORRIBLR expierence all 3 times. When I booked my RH I went there to look they only let me try on 4 dresses before they shoved me out the door and told me to make another appt.
FF a few months later after I found my gown I called there to prce it they told me they couldn't help at the moment and would call me back...
They didn't
Needless to say that guy who works there or whatever he is is super CREEPY!
