printer for DIY invites

I recently bought a new printer and was hoping to use it for DIY invites, but the text isn't really that sharp to me, and I don't want my invites to look cheap and homemade. Its an Epson inkjet. I was wondering if anyone did DIY invites and had a printer they really liked? Someone posted about a personal laser printer, but I'm not sure if it was here or on the Knot and I can't find the thread with the name of the printer. Does anyone know of this printer thread?

I'm not sure about a thread, but my HP Deskjet is GREAT for DIY invites/STDs. Everything came out looking perfect and it's a cheap desktop printer!

I've done invites on quite a few different HP deskjets, and they're all perfect. I'd go that route before a laser!
