Printing Help

So I'm doing DIY invitations, started them and so far so good until I get to the reception, direction & response cards.

The direction cards are double sided print (church directions on one side and hall directions on the other)......printing the first side is no problem.

The issue I'm having is when I feed the card and want to print the second side I'm getting scuffed ink tracks on the top of all the cards.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Will it help to let the paper and/or the printer cool before turning it over?

Tried it and still smudges.

does the paper have 2 slightly different finishes on them (in other words, a front and a back)? If it does, try printing the 2nd side first and see if it still smears. It may be the paper finish.

another possibility is that the paper isn't completely flat after printing the first side. Try printing the first side, and flattening them again under a pile of heavy books overnight before printing page 2....
