Printing invitation envelopes

For those thinking of printing addresses on the invitations using your computer: I did 90 so far and it only took about 2.5 hours with a helper the whole time. I only destroyed 2 outer envelopes. Our invitations came with 10 extra envelopes. I did a word document using the dimensions of the envelope and printing landscape. I fed each envelope through by hand (thus the help was essential).

Printing invitation envelopes

Carrie, I plan on doing the same thing. What type of typeface did you use? Is the writing similar to whats on your invitation? Also, is this a real pain in the neck to do? :)

Printing invitation envelopes

It is pretty easy. The only problem is that my FI is doing half on his computer and the Coronet font is nice on mine and ugly on his. Go figure. He chose another font that looks similar to the font on our invitations. Overall, I think they came pretty nice. I used black even though our invitations have gray lettering, because I did not like how the gray looked. I think it looks pretty good anyway. The only extra advice I have is to make a document the size of the envelope rather than printing it as if it is an envelope. It is easier to play around with it that way. Also, test it all out on a piece of paper before you start printing directly on the envelopes.
