Has anyone looked there? Has anyone bought their dresses there - I have an apt there later today and wanted to know what your experiences were

Re: Priscilla of Boston
I have not been there, but a friend of mine said when she went to the one in MA, they were very very helpful and friendly. She didn't buy her dress there, though because she felt they were way too expensive. That's all I heard. Let us know how it goes, good luck!

Re: Priscilla of Boston
I want to check out at least these two dresses - But not sure of the quality or the service there - I have seen so many dresses I like but then I was very disappointed in their quality when I saw the actual dress

I got my dress there.
They treated me very well, and I loved their gowns. They accidently left pins in one of the underlayers -- so as with any shop, check everything before you leave the store!

Re: Priscilla of Boston (Update and VENT)
Well I found a dress that I love there and I want - they would make it into a strapless dress for me if I get it. Mom loves it too - BUT she is insisting I go back to Saks and try on the Christos again - before I decide but in my mind this one is more 'bridey' than the christos was.
They are WONDERFUL there I worked with Janet - and she was VERY friendly NOT pushy - actually the dress I like she INSISTED I try on - which I had no intention of doing so since it was high neck and sleeveless and I wanted strapless - I didn't get to try on the second dress that I posted only the first - however it had netting and I didn't care too much for the material but it was a pretty dress.
Actually they have dresses in different sizes and they are actually very close to street clothes sizes - so I was able to try on dresses that actually fit...lol.
The only thing that annoyed me about shopping with mom - is this women told her that if I don't mind my dress arriving in MARCH for my APRIL wedding well then I can wait until Oct 1st to order my dress - so mom is like what's the hurry - a month before is PLENTY of time - They will just have to do the alterations quickly...UGH!!! (this women told mom that she just gave a girl her dress that was getting married in 6 weeks and planned her whole wedding in that time) The other issue is the Christos dress would need to be ordered by NO LATER than end of JULY - AND if the dress I get there doesn't come in until March and it isn't right there won't be anything I can do about it - plus I might not be living around there at the time so - what she expects me to fly to NY every weekend for a month to do alterations

I'm glad to hear you had a good experience. Where would you be living at alteration time? I live in Boston, so I had my alterations done there since they have Priscilla shop, but I picked up my dress freshly pressed at the Long Island store... Would that work for you?

Re: Priscilla of Boston (Update and VENT)
Other than MI you've got a good chance of being near another one of their salons...
Short Hills, NJ (Northern NJ)
Tysons Corner, VA (Washington DC area)
Wynnewood, PA (Philadelphia area)
That could work out very well for you!

If I am going to be in NJ or PA I will just drive home - it is if I'm in MI that I will have a problem but I won't know until Mid to end of August where I will be
