Proactiv Advice Again!

Ok, I had asked about Proactiv before. I ordered and received it and used it for about 4 days. My skin got so itchy and flaky that I've stopped using it. Is this normal and my skin will adjust? Or does this mean that my skin is too sensitive for it and not use it at all? I'm at my wits end, i was really hoping that this would work for me. Please help

Re: Proactiv Advice Again!

That happens to me with Proactiv in the winter...
I just use an extra moisturizer on top....
It may just be the harsh weather that is adding to the irratation.
Use as directed and then try a light moisturizer on top.

Re: Proactiv Advice Again!

I have been using moisturizer, the Proactiv one and then I've been using other moisturizer, too, since my skin is so flaky and itchy....It's been about 2 days since I've stopped using Proactiv and my skin still is flakey and dry.

I know proactiv does not work for everyone, and if this means it's not going to work for me, i'll try to get my $ back.

Re: Proactiv Advice Again!

It might just be too harsh for your skin.....
I know a few people that only use the cleanser b/c the moisturizer is too drying...
Maybe try that????

Re: Proactiv Advice Again!

Hey!
I do this...
I use the toner only at night because that makes my skin dry out. Also-try using just a little less of the lotion then you normally have been. See if that helps!

Re: Proactiv Advice Again!

try using it only every 2 nights or something like that....it did the same thing to me...personally, i don't like the products - i find them too irritating and not effective...the only thing that worked for me (better even than antibiotics) is zinc and vitamin a - i take 1 zinc and 2 vitamin A a few nights a week...wash my face with a gentle cleanser (i've used loreal hydrafresh for years) and follow up with a light toner....also use a glycolic acid product a few times a week...
