Prob with a BM

I have a best friend...who was always my best friend....we were inseperable in H.S...and now my wedding rolls around...and I ask her to be a BM in my wedding. I announced this at my Engagement party...and since then...we have spoken ONCE...its now Jan...and the party was on Oct.
I love her to death...but i feel like she doesnt want to be bothered with me....i dont know if its bc im getting married...or she doesnt want to be involved and doesnt want to tell me.
What do i do????

i've been a bridemaid several times. the first couple of parties i was absolutely no help to the brides. it wasn't intentional, but i was still very single and partying a lot. i always asked about how things were going, but i really didn't pay much attention to the details. i played the part of the bridesmaid as best i could during that time. i wasn't jealous or sad, i think it was just that we were in different places and i was more interested in my life than the wedding. of course now i feel badly about it (this was 4-5 years ago) but there isn't anything i can do.

oh and i am having ONLY family in my party.
