I think your fmil is wrong here - fh's dad can be his bm, according to emily post there is nothing to prevent that

Bottom line... he can do whatever he wants, its his wedding (and yours). There are no rules, only traditions (other than what your church,etc might give).

I think if FH wants his father to stand up with him than FMIL should back off!

I've heard (and seen on A Wedding Story) many guys who chose their fathers as best men. I don't think it's the most traditional but it is definetley allowed!

SHE'S WRONG!

I'm going to a wedding this month where the groom's BM is his DAD. I think it's such a sweet idea.

A bride can ask her mother to be her MOH as well.

It's very nice in my opinion!

FH & I went to a wedding a few years ago where the MOH was the bride's mother and the BM was the groom's dad. So it has been done!
