Problem with invitation wording...help please

Ok, we started looking at invitations and asked my mom what she thought of them. She assumed that her and my fathers names were going on the invitations when that didn't even cross my mind. We just assumed that we were putting our names on it. They are paying for our reception, FMIL/FFIL are paying NOTHING and we are paying for the rest (I'm sure my parents will help out some more too). Should we give them the honor of being on the invitations even though they aren't paying for everything or do we put our names?

Re: Problem with invitation wording...help please

If they are paying for your reception I would definitely put their names on the invitation.

We did ours this way

Jennifer xxxx
daughter of
xxxx and xxx

and

Anthony xxxxx
son of Mr and Mrs xxxxx

invite you ......

We wanted to honor our parents even though we paid for the enitre wedding ourselves.

Check out verse it. They have a ton of different wording options.
